Reach thousands of serious buyers and achieve the best possible price for your vehicle through our competitive auction format.
Once a car is sold on Bids&Drive, we connect the buyer and seller directly and provide a custom post-auction checklist to ensure a smooth, transparent, and secure transaction. Below are our best-practice recommendations for completing a successful sale—and remember, our team is always available to assist.
1. Make Contact
- Contact the other party promptly after the auction ends to introduce yourself.
- Maintain clear, professional, and positive communication to keep the process smooth
- Sellers should provide proof of ownership to the buyer, typically a copy or clear photo of the logbook/title and registration documents.
2. Payment, Loan Clearance & Documentation
- Buyers are expected to complete full payment within 2 days of the auction closing via Bids&Drive SafePay.
- If the vehicle has an outstanding loan, both parties must agree on the clearance process:
- If the seller has funds, the loan should be settled immediately, with official proof from the lender provided to the buyer.
- If not, the buyer may pay the outstanding balance directly to the lender, with the remaining amount paid to the seller through SafePay.
- A clear and accurate Bill of Sale must be prepared and signed by both parties. We recommend confirming current requirements and templates with KRA for logbook transfer and sale documentation.
- Secure payment methods are strongly recommended, including:
- Wire transfers
- Cashier's checks
- Bank-to-bank transactions (meeting at the buyer’s or seller’s bank)
- Approved electronic money transfers via Bids&Drive SafePay
3. Vehicle Release & Handover
- Vehicle pickup should be arranged only after full payment is confirmed into safepay account.
- The vehicle and logbook/title must not be released until the seller has received full cleared funds.
- For remote transactions, the seller should send the signed logbook/title to Bids&Drive or the buyer via a reputable courier service with a tracking number, once payment is confirmed
Bids&Drive SafePay is designed to protect both buyers and sellers—ensuring every transaction is secure, compliant, and hassle-free.
